Shortly before the band went on, Rudolph noticed that the oboe soloist was near tears. “I walked over to her and asked, ‘Are you okay?’ She said, ‘I am so scared.’ I responded, ‘You know, I am too. We are going to get through this.’ She played great during the concert.”
